S45 Louet has designed a successor to its popular, discontinued, S40 spinning wheel. The S45 is scotch tension, light weight, and with its delta orifice it can handle fine to heavier fibers. It's a scotch tension flyer-driven wheel - loads of choices in the ratio, from 7:1 to 20:1. It has an accelerating wheel (pulley) which really gets this small wheel moving quickly. The orifice is just 24" from the floor but you spin sitting at a comfortable height, due to the design of the wheel. Some of the features are its compact size, double treadles, lacquer finish, rubber drive belts, sliding yarn guide, 3 bobbins with built-in lazy kate, ability to spin both moderately bulky fibers and very fine fibers,

Babe's Fiber Starter was introduced to provide an easy and inexpensive way to learn the art of spinning and provide an interim step between the drop spindle and a finer wood spinning wheel. Weighing only 7 lbs, it can be taken apart to easily fit into a garment bag for travelling. Ratios are 5:1 and 6:1: The drive wheel is 17-3/4".
